Morgan has officially teased their new car, releasing exclusive images of their latest, currently unnamed, flagship model. The released images show a very Morgan-looking car, wrapped in dazzle camouflage, a visibly confusing sight, seeing a Morgan which isn’t either British racing green or beige.
A lot of information isn’t currently available about this new model, but Morgan have announced a few details about this car. Since Morgan moved out of the automotive stone age and started using aluminium chassis as of 2019, the new model will be built upon the new and improved CXV platform, an upgraded version of this bonded aluminium chassis.
Alongside this, Morgan has stated that they’ll be using BMW’s six-cylinder turbocharged engine. This means this will be the second Morgan model ever to be turbocharged, after their Plus Six model, whose production was reported to end in early 2025. Morgan has claimed that this new model isn’t a direct replacement for the Plus Six but would still be taking the forefront of Morgan’s model line-up.
More information is set to arrive in due course for its official reveal in Spring, but from the road test, it’s safe to say we’re very excited about its announcement. Hopefully, Morgan’s target demographic will survive the rest of winter so they can see Morgan’s official announcement.
