What do drug dealers and the wives of Cheshire footballers have in common? They both LOVE Range Rovers.

Range Rovers are nearly ubiquitous across the UK, where they’re now the leading choice of car for both Hollywood bad guys and the British government (they have more in common than you think). But JLR knows their audience and in late 2025 you’ll be able to buy an even more villainous looking range rover, suited for all drug dealers, movie bad guys and the British government. The SV Black.

The Range Rover SV Black, designed after a ninja, is supposed to represent a ‘refined elegance in its purest form’ as reported from JLR themselves. They do however also refer to it as the ‘darkest, stealthiest Range Rover ever created’, so perfect for those dealers looking to hide from the police.

The SV Black does however host a rather interesting sound system. In the floor of the vehicle, transducers can be felt in the carpet, which vibrate in turn with your rap music. Or you can experience one of the six built in wellness programmes. These were obviously integrated into the car in case you get panicked with how rough the Cheshire roads are, because let’s face it you’re not taking this car off road.

After its debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it stirred a lot of excitement, and after the recent JLR cyber attack, it’s definitely something to look forward to in the midst of all the chaos.

However, the Range Rover SV Black is our car of the week because, in light of the cyber attack, JLR needed something.
