Ever since 1963, Porsche has been labelling their most sporty and driver-focused cars with the Gran Turismo Sport (GTS) badge, but now we have another car to add to the lineup.

Porsche only recently announced its new addition to the GTS family: an all-electric Macan model, supposedly entering our markets in early 2026.

There have already been four other all-electric Macan models, but not a GTS edition, which promises to combine the sporty design expected from a GTS model with the practicality of a compact SUV.

But it also guarantees a kitted out selection of impressive tech.

The car has up to 420 kW of overboost power, capable of creating up to 955 Nm of torque, where the car is also equipped with a 100 kWh high-voltage battery which would be able to charge from 10-80% in 21 minutes. Which is enough time to watch a YouTube tutorial on how to use all of this technology.

It’s also rear-based all-wheel drive with electronically controlled rear differential locks, which when paired with its sports air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system, it’s ready for any and all-terrains.

Its new Track Mode also enhances its performance by optimising its battery’s cooling, which allows the car to reach its top speed of 155 mph and reach 60 in 3.8 seconds flat out.

But when you’re not going flat out, you should be able to squeeze 363 miles of range, or at least that’s what Porsche claims, which is enough for you to do 72.6% of the NC 500.

The design of the car fortunately does feel very Porsche GTS. It has the black accents all over the car, typical with GTS models, whilst also sporting the Tinted Matrix LED headlights and taillights which have become nearly synonymous with Porsche’s new models.

I have to say, though, that the design looks amazing. Porsche has planned to match the trim with the paint job, and the digital cockpit also reflects this. It looks incredible, and it may be the first Macan design that I actually like.

Unfortunately, the car also comes with your very own Black Mirror-esque AI-supported Voice Pilot, so you can have an AI judge you on your parking.

It’s exciting to see the first all-electric Macan GTS making its way into our market, and it’s safe to say I’m buzzing to hear more about this car.
